Process

Pending a decision by the DCLG for 2012/13 funding, the Prince's Foundation has suspended the scheduling of further collaborative planning events. Applications for the Supporting Communities and Neighbourhoods in Planning Scheme are still welcome, and will be put on a waiting list for future consideration in the order they are received.

All applicants on the waiting list will be notified about DCLG's decision and future progression of the scheme before 31st March 2012.

Once you have submitted an application form you will receive an automated response confirming that we've received it.

We'll aim to contact you within five working days to discuss your application.

If you've submitted on behalf of a community group we'll contact your Local Authority – this is important for us to get a wider view of the issues effecting the community and to ensure their support for the application.

If you've submitted on behalf of a Local Authority, we ask that you have already spoken to the relevant community representatives. If this has not been possible then we'll seek to contact them directly to discuss the opportunities.

Once both the Local Authority and community have agreed to progress we'll take a decision on whether to proceed with the proposal or reject.

This decision will be taken at a weekly Programme meeting attended by at least one external expert on the built environment.

If a decision is taken to proceed the community or Local Authority contact will be notified by phone with a confirmation email that includes a contract to be signed that sets out the work we'll deliver and the assistance you'll be expected to provide.

If a decision is taken to reject the proposal we'll notify you by written email or letter and clearly set out the reasons for doing so along with any advice we are able to deliver. This may include referral to the other Certified Local Government (CLG) grant providers.
