Planning Reset

A one-day workshop including (where appropriate) the developer/community and local authority. This could be used where planning proposals are in dispute – this may be because of a previous failure to engage the community, or because of a specific issue such as traffic or the impact on the landscape or heritage buildings.

We will not however intervene in a live planning application and we ask that all parties are willing to accept the recommendations provided

What we expect from you:

  • Usually we will expect the Local Authority to be the client who will sign a contract with us agreeing what we will deliver
  • We will expect the Local Authority to host the event and ensure attendance by representatives of both the developers and the community
  • Where the proposals have been put forward by the Local Authority (such as for a new traffic scheme or major regeneration) we will expect the community to act as our client and main point of contact

What you’ll get from us:

  • You’ll get our experience in the role of an honest broker between all sides
  • We will spend a day working with all key stakeholders to find common ground and agree a way forward
  • These recommendations will be put in a report which can be used as a demonstration of community engagement and clearly sets out the agreed points
