Peter Quintanilla is the Director of Design Theory & Networks at The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment. He oversees an interdisciplinary design team, who undertake the collation of intellectual capital and its translation into practice and the pro-active engagement of a scrutinised network of practitioners to contribute to delivering The Foundation’s mission.
Peter has participated in numerous projects throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Africa, ranging from building design and town development to regional strategies. Having worked for ten years with Duany Plater-Zyberk, Peter co-led the team that conducted the Mississippi Recovery Charrette and the Louisiana Recovery after the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. Peter strives to develop new concepts and tools that will help those implementing sustainable urbanism throughout the world.
