Upton, Northampton, UK
A new community is beginning to take shape at Upton, with residents moving into the first stages of development of this sustainable urban extension on the southwest fringe of Northampton. The site, owned by English Partnerships (EP), was developed through an Enquiry by Design in 1999. Since then, The Prince’s Foundation has worked closely with EP, Northampton Borough Council and consultants EDAW and Alan Baxter & Associates, on the creation of a masterplan and design code, ensuring a high standard of urbanism.
